The Lament of Autumn (2026)

During the turbulent Republic of China era, when warlords divide the country and chaos spreads across the land, Ye Ping Jun takes a job at a meeting house in western Hunan to pay for her mother’s medical treatment. However, her first day takes an unexpected turn when she becomes entangled in an assassination attempt targeting the fifth son of the powerful Yu family. Wrongfully accused of the crime, Ye Ping Jun refuses to accept the blame and makes a bold bet with Yu Chang Xuan, challenging him to uncover the real culprit within ten days. Rather than treating the wager as a simple investigation, Yu Chang Xuan sees it as a chance to get closer to her and begins pursuing her romantically. Yet beneath his charming approach lie hidden intentions, leaving their developing relationship caught between attraction, suspicion, and the secrets surrounding the assassination.
