Jang Gi U is a 32-year-old temporary high school teacher whose life has been shaped by a damaging rumor. Four years ago, he became the subject of an inappropriate rumor involving a student, causing him to abandon his plans to take the teacher certification examination. Since then, he has moved from one contract teaching position to another, unable to build the stable career he once hoped for.
Raised by a single mother, Gi U grew up with the constant pressure to become someone who had “no flaws in the eyes of others.” As a result, he has learned to maintain a seemingly flawless image while quietly living an ordinary and unfulfilling life. To those around him, everything about him appears perfectly fine—but beneath that polished exterior lies a man struggling with the consequences of his past and the expectations placed upon him.
